A man in Volgograd killed his neighbour out of jealousy and then cut off his buttocks to eat them. Only police intervention prevented him from doing so.

On the night of January 6 to 7, the man visited his neighbour and his flatmate. "The party began there. It was not without alcohol," said the emergency services. The men quarreled on the grounds of jealousy, their girlfriend left the flat. The 47-year-old man then stabbed his neighbour because of jealousy.

According to emergency services, the 42-year-old Volgograd man died at the scene, but his neighbour decided not to stop there and tried to carve up the body.

"After committing the murder, the man tried to mutilate the victim's buttocks," the emergency services said. He later said he wanted to eat them. The Volgograd Region Investigation Department confirmed the information about the incident.
