I read about this on Daily Mail. This is the third, I believe, couple that has died there and an American woman was beaten within an inch of her life. This couple, supposedly, had planned this vaca for a while and seemingly were having a great time. I'm guessing they bought something that was not what they thought. And it killed them. |

According to the Washington Post, there were also several bottles of heart medication found. Also on Friday the male victim called for a hotel doctor, complaining that he felt ill. Autopsy to follow being conducted today/ Saturday. Also they were engaged to be married, male being aged 63 & female aged 49. At a guess.....he died of a heart attack, and maybe she couldn't live without him....so she followed suit by ingesting the other medications? |

gabapentin is a controlled substance now because people are crushing it and injecting/snorting it to get their opioid fix. btw, i take 3600mg/day

Yea, I take it myself for pain management & nerve damage. It's also used to treat bipolar disorder, seizures, & diabetic neuropathy. Useful stuff when taken properly, but beware of missing doses as abrupt withdrawal can cause seizures.  |
