Dominican Republic - American Couple Found Dead in Hotel Room
On the morning of 31st May 2019 in La Romana (Dominican Republic), an American couple were found dead. 63 year old N.E.H. + 50 year old C.A.D. had arrived at the Gran Bahia Principe hotel in Playa Nueva on the 25th. They were supposed to have left the hotel on the 30th. The couple showed no signs of violence. Medication was found in the hotel room including 400mg of Galanpertin + 5mg of Oxicodona. *There doesn't seem to be much in the way of death photos (at the moment anyway).

Gabapentin wouldn't be a drug of choice to overdose on. And they would need a lot of the oxy at that low a dose, especially if there's a tolerance built up. But, stranger things have happened.

Maybe they purchased meds that had been tampered with?   Without photos of the drugs in question it's difficult to tell.

People abuse nuerontin in the absence of opioids. They probably had an adverse reaction while taking both (if overdose was the case).

They may did more than Gabapentin. I think the autopsy will tell the tell on the drop cocktail that caused this OD. |
