Dominican Republic - 3 People Hacked at a Farm
On the morning of 2nd October 2022 in Puerto Plata (Dominican Republic), 3 people were murdered at a farm. The farm owner, 71 year old J.J.S.C. was killed along with 2 of his employees, 68 year old G.B.T. + 63 year old A.M.O.U. A Haitian man who worked as a cow milker at the farm was the culprit. In retaliation to the horrific triple murder, locals set fire to many shacks that Haitian labourers lived in. Many Haitians in the area fled in fear.

And this is actually what the Dominican government was worried about when they were contemplating on allowing Haitians into the country and why there is conflict between Dominicans and Haitians in general. You can’t blame Dominicans for retaliating.

Im Dominican I can verify that there's major tension with Dominicans and Haitians. I remember growing up my grandmother in Spanish would say not to marry black girl or become a cop. Keep in mind she was fairly dark skin so the internal hate runs deep especially with older generations.
