Man Shot to Death in His Kitchen by Gunmen
A man who has not yet been identified was murdered with five shots inside the kitchenette where he lived in the Marizal neighborhood, municipality of Benjamin Constant, 1,119 kilometers from Manaus in a straight line. The crime took place in the early evening of last Monday, the 24th, and was carried out by three unknown gunmen, according to witnesses heard by the investigation team of the 51st Interactive Police Station (DIP). The killers broke open the front door of the kitchenette with several kicks, entered the property and fired the shots that hit the head, chest, neck and back of the man who lived alone and died instantly. After the three gunmen fled on foot, the residents called Benjamin Constant's Mobile Emergency Care Service (Samu), but it was no use because the man's death was confirmed. The motive of the murder will be investigated, but at first, the police did not obtain any information who were the perpetrators of the shots and if the victim was involved in any type of crime. The body of the approximately 20-year-old man was examined at the scene of the crime and removed to the Legal Medical Institute (IML) unit, where it remained unidentified until early this Tuesday morning.     |
