In the last picture she looks more elevated off the ground than the picture posted before it. Maybe she did start out off the ground and gravity just started pulling her down as she hung?

I don't disagree. No idea what the time elapse between the two photos is. But I expect that she started out in a partial suspension hanging and gradually sunk to the floor. That isn't at all uncommon. Still not sure why the disparity between the two photos, however, which were likely taken within moments of one another by reporters at the scene.
