Re: Domestic Violence (Case 1)

I read of an inordinate number of cases involving cruelty to animals, cruelty to children, beatings, etc., where the woman is NOT married, but has a live-in boyfriend (who sometimes is the father of the abused children). What's with society? Are we fast reverting to heathenism ?

You're kidding right? All of those things and more were MORE common in 'the good old days' than they are now - they were simply ignored, or worse, encouraged behaviors, whereas now there is actual outrage at such things. Top that off with the fact that husbands are more likely to get away with such things for longer periods of time (due to the wife being more reluctant to end a marriage due to a number of legal concerns), and your statement only reflects an over relience on anecdotal evidence. Do not confuse increased media attention to something with actual increases in real occurances.

I don't batter women. I prefer to eat them raw.

My first husband come home from work one day in a bad mood. I was laying on the couch with a headache.... He started screaming at me... walked across the living room... grabbed my wrist and slung me across the living room.
I picked myself up OFF of the floor and went to the bedroom to pack my shit. He followed me in there... continued screaming at and threatening me..... I looked him in the eyes and told him if he didn't leave the room so I could pack my stuff and leave that they would not find his body.
Do not presume to know me... or know anything about me.... and what I have been through. I am not niave. I just happen to know what I find unacceptable behavior. And if no one else has not figured THAT out for themselves, well then, that's not my fucking problem.
And NO ONE will EVER make a punching bag out of me. I am stronger than that. Maybe YOU should get a backbone too.

.... He came to where I was staying 3 days later... crying... saying "I'm sorry, I'll never touch you again..... Come home, please... we're a family"
I looked at him and said...

"Wrong me once shame on you. Wrong me twice, shame on me."
And proceeded to close the door in his face.
Oh... you must be fucking superwoman then. Silly cow. Just because you said to him " they will not find your body" doesn't mean any other woman can say that to a man who is kicking the shit out of them. Every situation is different and obviously your ex man was a bit of a pussy, but some men are way more evil than that and a simple threat from a woman who thinks she is hard doesn't always work. So get off your highhorse and get real dafty.

Re: Domestic Violence (Case 1)

I stayed in an abusive relationship for 2 years. I was beaten, raped, hit with a scythe, mentally tortured and i lost everything i had inc my job in the end. For some reason i put up with this for the 2 years that i was with the twat. Then something in my snapped.

I had just come home from work and he was waiting for me outside my home. Something sparked off a kicking and he took the front cover off my car stereo (my car was my baby at the time) and i just lost it. I walked over to his brand new motorbike and took the key out of it and put the keyring over my middle finger on my right hand, i thought fuck it he's gona have to break my finger to get it back.

Well anyway. The fight got worse and worse and he tried to break my finger. He got me on the floor and started to kick me in the head and body (he had steel toe cap boots on) and i felt something inside my head snap. I remember the details like they were yestarday. I turned the key around on my finger and i stood up, as i stood up i punched him in the throat knowing full well that i was stabbing him in the neck. At this time i was not in any control of myself. When i punched/stabbed him in the neck i went for the inside of his leg as i knew that there are arteries there and i wanted it to stop.

After i stabbed him the 2 times i had blood all over my hands and i put the key back into my hands. All i remember is that when i came back around he was curled up in a ball on the floor in a pool of his own blood.

He gave me my stereo back and i gave him his keys, i offered to phone an ambulance and he said no. I found out later on that i had fractured his eye socket, broke his nose and his jaw, knocked out 4 teeth, broke 3 ribs and his colar bone.

I am NOT proud of what i did and to be honest i still am ashamed as i stooped to his level. By this time i had nothing left and there was nothing more that he could do to me. When he realised that i was numb to what he did to me he started on my family.

My partner has never EVER hit me even though i have tested him to the limit and if i was him i'd have smacked me one. Not all men are assholes, and there are a lot of women who abuse the men
