Dismembered Corpse Discovered Behind Church
Operatives of the Federal Special Anti-Robbery Squad (FSARS) in Ogun State, Nigeria have arrested two Christian clerics on 30th August 2018 for allegedly killing a woman for ritual purposes. The state Commissioner of Police gave the names of the suspects as O.A. and A.B. 'A' is a self-acclaimed prophet and bricklayer while 'B' is the pastor in charge of the Lion of Judah Church of Christ, located in Agbado. They allegedly conspired to kill 'A’s girlfriend, identified simply as I.A. The commissioner of police gave an assessment of the crime scene at Agbado yesterday, said the suspects severed the head and arms of the victim before burying them behind a makeshift bathroom at the back of 'B's church. The police commissioner stated that the torso was dumped inside an uncompleted building behind 'A’s house. He said: “On interrogation, O.A, who claimed to be a prophet in a church, confessed that the victim was his woman friend, who he identified simply as I.A. He stated further that they had been dating for two years. “On that fateful day, the deceased came to visit him as usual and after they made love, he surreptitiously brought out a cudgel and smashed her head. “He later cut off her head and arms, after which he dumped the remains into the uncompleted building behind his residence. The severed head and two arms of the victims were buried at the back of Lion of Judah Church of Christ belonging to A.B.” 'A', who was mumbling during the interview, however, could not give any reason for killing and dismembering the woman. In his own confession, 'B' said he knew 'A' and used to assist him financially. Although he confessed that 'A' brought I.A's head and arms to him, 'B' denied sending him to kill the victim.         |
