The damage to the head and upper chest area of the corpse (compared to the state of the rest of the body) leaves me wondering if he wasn't shot in the face by a shotgun. That type of damage is not common for regular decomposition. |

If that well was ever used recently, I bet it will not be now. It would need to be pumped out and sterilised. Or, better still, seal it up and pour a slab of concrete on it.
