Yeah I was wondering that too, I'm thinking it might just be the a build up of gases and the weird angle.
Pretty horrible, way to go, that soiled mattress doesn't look at all pleasant.

I am a Paramedic and I will say that there is nothing quite like the smell of a gastrointestinal bleed. When I see "cofee ground" emisis, I reach for the Vicks Vapo Rub to put under my nose.
