Re: Death by R/C Helicopter.
Based on what ive seen it was likely a trex, in the 700 size range. Carbon fiber blades on these mofos dont mess around. Added a pic of him holding the likely culprit. |

Re: Death by R/C Helicopter.
On the 3/31/13 video below, he's running a Align Trex 700E DFC HV RC Helicopter. (A real bargain at only $1,680.99. I've attached an image of the RC from the vid and here's the link to the product page at xheli.com. (I couldn't find the RC in Align's official e-store.) One thing for sure, the guy had some pretty impressive skills. It's a damn shame that something unfortunate and unforseen led to this fatal accident. |

Re: Death by R/C Helicopter.
Oh, he was good. Most likely a lapse of judgement that caused this incident. I don't think some people realize these little machines CAN be lethal. Kid was a damn good pilot. Some of the best 3D flying I've seen, if a bit careless. |

Re: Death by R/C Helicopter.
why would the government let a deadly toy like that on the market? if its not the owner that would get hurt, any miscalculation of the owner could hurt others
