Re: Death Mix (Thailand, Cambodia, Myanmar)

The elephant almost certainly had been mistreated in some or in several ways. Elephants do not forgive or forget.

Yet I have also heard of beloved mahouts being saved by their elephants, in one case a mahout was pinned by a tiger against a tree, and the mahouts elephant silently moved up behind the tiger, and then stomped it right into the dirt. A flat cat.

So elephants don't go "rogue" with careful owners. I have seen video of elephants being used for logging in the jungle, and their mahouts took very good care of their animals, and the animals obviously liked their mahouts, even being "naughty" sometimes, and making the mahouts laugh. They were very smart, and if their mahout takes good care of them, they are very loyal to their mahout. If the elephant revolts and kills someone, it is invariably the fault of the human involved in the equation.
Mr. May, quit being facetious.

The pointers are falling down on the job. All that death and not a single index finger put to use! Terrible.

Number 5 isn’t a Scottish national. He is from Newcastle in the North East of England!

Re: Death Mix (Thailand, Cambodia, Myanmar)

5. On 1st February 2016 in Koh Samui (Thailand), 36 year old G.G.C. lost his life.

The Scottish national had been with his 16 year old step-daughter. They were both riding an elephant, along with a Myanmar mahout, when it suddenly threw them off. The elephant gored 'G's chest with it's tusk + stomped on his neck. 'G' died at the scene + his daughter + the mahout were taken to the hospital with severe injuries.

Elephant anger management issues .... well, put the bloody elephant in the barn, wait for the media to leave, and then bring him back out for the next batch of tourists. No way that poor area is going to put down a valuable money maker.
