In Santa Elena, Ecuador, a merchant, Laidy J.G.R., was shot dead, supposedly after refusing to pay an extortion fee of $3 to hitmen.

I've been searching for the last few days but as usual with Ecuadorian content these days, I failed to find much of the material without watermarks - or, indeed, any antemortems at all - so dumping it here instead. Having said that, the second video is fairly decent.

Quality is ass, but here's a confirmed antemortem just for completion sake.

23 year old Katyana Arco Verde Silva was found dead from bullet wounds shortly after she went out on a motorcycle with some so-called friends.

She still had an undisclosed amount of weed tucked into her top.

A 23-year-old woman, Bruna d.S.P., was executed with at least five shots at the Ceasa Fair in Castanhal, Pará state, Brazil. According to witnesses, two men on a motorcycle were responsible for the crime. They fled and have not yet been located.

Before she was murdered, Bruna had shared on social media that she was going to the fair for a few beers. She already possessed a conviction for a crime related to drug trafficking.

26-year-old lawyer from Ecuador, Suad S.O.P., was driving her Kia when a puppy ran out in front of her vehicle. Suad swerved to avoid the puppy, but ended up crashing into a tree, killing her at the scene.

Most of my Ecuadorian sources have a fondness for obnoxious watermarks, and the only source I could find offering an uncensored image was particularly vexing. Hopefully someone with better sources from the locale can locate the original.

Woman, 25-30 years old committed suicide by jumping from a bridge in Mexico. Witnesses say they made attempts to stop her as rescuers arrived but they could do nothing.

An 18-year-old woman, Ingrid M.M., three months pregnant, was shot dead by her partner in a house in the city of Granja, in the interior of Ceará, Brazil, on Sunday afternoon (8).

According to information from the Military Police, the man entered Ingrid's house armed and then, after an argument, fired several shots at his partner.

The suspect, identified as Francisco D.B.O., 24, who was on the run, was captured in response to a warrant for his arrest. He was found in a vacant lot in the rural area of Uruoca, a municipality close to the city of Granja.

In Bang Sue district, Bangkok, Thailand, two bank employees - 34-year-old Pimnipa S. and 31-year-old Manassanan N. - were killed when, whilst on a motorcycle on their way to work, they were run over by a city bus. The motorbike driver was trying to execute a U-turn when they were run over.

In Guarujá, São Paulo state, Brazil, a 25-year-old woman, Maria E.F.d.C., was killed when a 24-year-old friend, whilst handling the pistol of an off-duty police officer, accidentally fired the weapon.

According to the Civil Police, a group of friends made up of men and women rented an apartment to spend the weekend. It is not clear what happened, with the friend and the police officer giving differing accounts.

According to the friend, she saw the police officer put his pistol in his waistband. The woman asked to handle the pistol, but the officer warned against it, as the woman had no experience with weapons. Despite this, the officer took the pistol, removed the magazine, and gave it to the friend.

Apparently, Maria asked to see the pistol as well. However, whilst doing so, the friend accidentally fired the weapon - a bullet had remained in the firing chamber.

The police officer, however, claimed he never gave his pistol to the friend. He said he left it on the sofa while he left to put on his sneakers. He heard Maria and the friend talk about the weapon, before hearing the shot. He ran into the room, and saw the friend throw the pistol onto the sofa.

Both the friend and police officer were arrested. The officer was sent to prison, but the friend paid bail of 1,500 reals (around USD$260) and was released, with orders to attend a later court hearing.

At Universitas Ciputra, Surabaya, Indonesia, a 20-year-old student named Sharlene Namira Valencia killed herself by jumping off the 22nd floor of the campus building.

The reason of suicide was suspected to her breakup with her boyfriend.
