Re: Dawn of the Black Hearts
As per wiki currently: "Instead of calling the police, Euronymous went to a nearby store and bought a disposable camera to photograph the corpse, after re-arranging some items. One of these photographs was later stolen and used as the cover of a bootleg live album entitled Dawn of the Black Hearts." So basically, the story is the pictures leaked and one of us stuck them on a bootleg CD cover. ---- Album information via wikipedia.org: Dawn of the Black Hearts is a bootleg live album by the Norwegian black metal band Mayhem. It is infamous for bearing a photograph of Mayhem's vocalist, Dead (Per Yngve Ohlin), after his suicide in April 1991. This photograph was allegedly taken by Mayhem's guitarist, Euronymous (Øystein Aarseth), upon discovering Dead's body. It was rated 1 out of "The 50 Most Controversial Album Covers Of All Time" by Gigwise.com. |

Re: Dawn of the Black Hearts
A very influential band in the blackmetal genre, along with Darkthrone (and others). Until the Light Takes Us is a documentary focusing mainly on Darkthrone but has Varg Vikernes in there saying his piece on the murder of Euronymous, the church burnings and Burzum of course. It's on the instant queue if you have netflix, was surprised to see that they had that on there! |

Re: Dawn of the Black Hearts
There is nothing metal about this, it's sad and cruel to exploit this guys death for the benefit of some garage band no one has ever heard of or at least I've never heard of.... that being said... If I ever blow my brains out I pray that my brains splatter so there isn't this little sad looking brain just laying there making me look like a retard |

Re: Dawn of the Black Hearts
The guy was a notorious showman. He loved to be the life of the concerts they did. You don't even know who they are so how can you form an opinion on what he would want?
