He was one of the leaders and the founder of Los Ántrax, an armed squadron that protects El Mayo Zambada, a top cartel leader. His model girlfriend was kidnapped from the gym and raped / murdered, although who knows in what order.

After serving 5 years of a 7 year sentence, he began his 5 years of active probation and house arrest, and on 9 May 2020, he was reported missing along with all of his belongings. He soon reappeared to Culiacan, Sinaloa where he was killed alongside his sister, and brother-in-law on May 15, 2020.

Many theories abound on this, including his having been lured back and murdered over a previous beef, and possibly for having cooperated with the US Government for a reduced sentence. What is likely is that he HAD to return, in violation of his home confinement in the US, over threats to his family, who are socialites, well-off and educated.
