Re: Crucifixion Studies/"Stiff"

There's a great chapter on the shroud in 'Never Mind the Bullocks, Here's the Science' by Karl Kruszelnicki.(Harper Collins 2009).
Apparently the shroud was found to be a fake even in its lifetime. The Bishop of Troyes had it taken off the religious relics circuit when he found out in 1357.The Bishop D'Arcis even located the artist in 1389.In 1418,the shroud was entrusted to Humbert,Lord of Lirey. When he died, his widow refused to give it back. She gave it to the Duke of Savoy in 1452.The Savoy house still claim ownership of it to this day and built the chapel it currently resides in.
A lot of people like to claim it's an early photo or energy from the resurrection due to no brush strokes. But the 'Carbon Dusting technique' that uses no brushstrokes either, has been shown by Drs Craig & Bressee to produce an identical image.
So yeah,it's fake.
