Re: Crucifixion Studies/"Stiff"
The ankle bone of a crucified man excavated in a burial cave at Giv'at ha-Mivtar, northeast of Jerusalem. The original nail is still lodged in the bone, even though the man was crucified two thousand years ago. Proof of the practice of crucifixion exists. It's proof that jesus was crucified, or even existed for that matter, that's lacking. |

Re: Crucifixion Studies/"Stiff"
I absolutely love "Stiff", Shazza! I was just talking about it at work on Saturday. I really loved the part about Languille at the guillotine, here's an interesting article on that: http://www.executedtoday.com/2008/06...an-of-science/ |

Re: Crucifixion Studies/"Stiff"
There's archaelogical, geographical, Roman & Jewish council and synagogue records of him too. It's all down to faith, interpretation, etc, etc, whatever we feel about things. Proof isn't always what we want it to be. The Bible isn't all hocus-pocus bollocks as people think. It contains references to may events at the time that really occured, Caesar himself is in it, it is many books together ranging from historical accounts to imagery, dreams and even songs. Some of the events are shocking reading but were events Anyway Rekr, I know where you stand on all this so we'll rest the case |
