Re: Crocodile Pulls Woman Off of Raft; Lunch To-Go
It may well be. As I said in the OP, I was unable to perform any due diligence. 95% of the stuff I post, I get directly from reporters, photographers, or newspapers with full reporting and data about the event. This was not the case here, as I got them off of another 'gore site', admittedly one that usually has very reliable stuff. But the story came with no details other than those I already provided. If you can find the photos anywhere else on the internet and prove that they were from something other than a crocodile attack, man, power to you. I am not 100% convinced about this set myself, but I am convinced enough to post it. Until someone gives me something more substantial than the clever equivalent of 'I call bullshit' with no rationale whatsoever, I'm sticking with it. |

Re: Crocodile Pulls Woman Off of Raft; Lunch To-Go
Of course not. There are at least two distinctive bite marks visible in the bone structure and those are just the ones that actually penetrated the skull. He was probably missing a couple of teeth, sure, as many wild animals are, but I imagine he also worked away a lot of skin in several places without actually penetrating the skull at all. Still, hard to say. I ain't Steve fuckin Irwin. I'm totally just guessing. In any event, as a point of comparison, here is a profile view of an unrelated croc's teeth, as well as a photo of a non-fatal crocodile bite. Wound pattern looks quite similar to that of the one on the skull. |
