Airbags wouldn't have made any difference in this situation. When the girl's seats hit the trailer, they stopped, but the front of the car continued moving toward the point of impact until all its kinetic energy was absorbed. So they didn't get smashed into the front of the car, they stopped moving and the front of the car smashed into them. Thus, the airbags wouldn't have absorbed the impact; in fact, the airbags would have transferred their energy to the girls, so the girls would've acted like airbags for the airbags. Sometimes you eat the bear, sometimes the bear eats you.

As others have noted, necrophilia has always been an element in DR. I suppose that this is unavoidable. Those fascinated by death and corpses will always include a minority whose interest is of an erotic nature.
