That arranged marriage shit is awful. I know a lovely Indian lady, working in Hong Kong. She sends money home to her family in India and the family keep telling her she must go home to be married off. But first she has to earn a large enough dowry to please her lazy arse, non working husband to be. She tells me she will NOT go back there to be married off, until she has enough money to buy her own house. But then she will be shunned as an unmarried woman. This is the 21st century!! Amazing!!   |
