Re: Couple Commits Suicide by Charcoal in Car
Apparently the method is not entirely painless as it can cause headaches, nausea and convulsions. Also there's a possibility of permanent brain damage so you risk becoming a vegetable if you fail.

Re: Couple Commits Suicide by Charcoal in Car
Pretty sure the singer from the band Boston committed suicide via charcoal too. Sealed all windows and doors, wheeled a charcoal grill into the bathroom with him. Lit the charcoal, ran a bath & fell into deep sleep in the bubble bath

Brad Delp was one of the best singers ever, loved his voice.

Looking at the photos, doesn't seem painless at all because the girls seems to have "moved" a lot during death, lost flip flops, they are curled up...

Re: Couple Commits Suicide by Charcoal in Car
very sad. my friends 36 year old sister took her life last year using an exit bag. i hadn't heard of it until she did it. very methodical about the whole thing and how she did it. i posted about it somewhere else on here, so apologies to people having to read it again. she went and rented a tank of helium/nitrogen gas and put down a tarp (so her body wouldn't make a mess) and basically went to sleep. used color coded sticky notes on all her furniture, books, belongings to let people know what went where and what was to be donated. in her desk drawer was a 9 page, outlined, detailed letter about how she was sorry and who she wanted things to go to and organizations and numbers. wiped her iPad clean. as well as her phone. her main reason was she lost her mom the year before and said she felt like a piece her died the day her mom did. her cats had passed away months before, and maybe if they were around she would have stayed, who knows. just very sad.

Re: Couple Commits Suicide by Charcoal in Car
This is tragic. As a suicidal, and knowing what it's like to go through suicide attempts and hospitalisations, I can empathise with those who go on to kill themselves. It's really tragic and ruins my day when I hear that someone (either on here or in my town) kills themselves. Actually, someone in my town a couple weeks ago jumped in front of a huge truck on the highway to kill himself. Apparently there was brains and blood everywhere, and his head flew onto the windshield of the car behind the truck. Gory details. There were flowers there at the pavement where he jumped. Sad stuff. I know that when you're suicidal, you find the easiest or least painful method (for most, anyhow) but to do it in such a gruesome manner in such a public place is fucking wrong. Not even I would stoop that low. Sorry for the tangent. I just needed to get all that off my chest, and suicide is one of the most interesting topics to myself. |

Re: Couple Commits Suicide by Charcoal in Car
That is awful... Suicide notes and journals left behind by those who commit suicide are very fascinating and help provide an insight into the struggles the person was experiencing. There's a chapter about suicide journals and suicide notes in a book called "Night Falls Fast". It's so, so interesting. I even find Kurt Cobain's journal interesting. The Columbine Shooters' and Randy Stair's journals also really intrigue me, especially Stair's and Dylan Klebold's, as they were both violently depressed and it's just fascinating stuff.
