Re: Corpse Groufie

It's no different than those Victorian memento-mori pictures where the family is keeping the corpse from falling over. Just different people, they are smiling, and everything is wonderful. What a bunch of grouches!

Re: Corpse Groufie

Why is it "wonderful?" Did the deceased leave instructions granting permission for the embalmers to take selfies with his/her corpse? Did the deceased's family grant permission?

Re: Corpse Groufie

Christ, that's terrific. You do need to have a good sense of humor if working in that industry, so I understand you must engage in some goofing around every now and then. This definitely brightened my Boxing Day, thanks.
Fucking disgusting.
The majority of loved ones of a deceased person, expects them to be treated with dignity as they are prepared for a final goodbye.

People would be fine if this happened to their loved ones???

Wow! Fucking fucked up.

Truly the upside down world. People would excuse behavior like this as just a way to joke around. If that was your dead child or loved one, hey, the staff needed a laugh.

Unfuckingbelievable.

Re: Corpse Groufie

I agree they didn't excercise the best judgment publicizing that photo. It's entirely possible they'll get a warning or even be fired. It's true that people working in professions related to death (mortuary staff, police officers, paramedics etc.) often have quite a brutal inside humor but they should be careful in which situations to engage in it.

I personally find it amusing though, but my sense of humor isn't always the most mature. Would I feel differently if I had lost a loved one recently? Probably. Folks on this site do tend to laugh at the most inappropriate things. I am no different in this aspect.

Re: Corpse Groufie

Yes, that is a big risk. I work as a coroner and could post thousands of photos, but I wouldn't risk my job, and I believe in ethics in protecting the deceased..
No kidding.. I couldn't imagine posting something like this (or even making/partaking in photo evidence of an office gag like this). tf were they thinking
