Yes, it is a shame. As a nurse, I've seen people deteriorate to horrible conditions with terminal cancer, most taking more morphine that a normal person cannot without dying of an overdose. I would imagine that to people that have children, it might well be worth it to stay around as long as possible. It has been to quite a few that I've been lucky enough to have as patients.

my daughter's ex's mom just decided yesterday too quit the fight,she has terminal stomach cancer and they give her 2 mo.soooo very,very sad!!!
