Re: Cop Diagnosed with Cancer
if its terminal, whats the point in sufering, id like to know what anti suicide people have to say regarding this one, is he a coward? or brave? ive watched a close friend deteriate from a strong proud person, to a empty pityful shell, who clung to that little bit of hope, sadly to lose the battle, them 3mths, tore the heart out of all whom took care of them, the question is, 3mths prior, with insight, would we of agreed to them ending there pain and future suffering? selfishly probably not, but if so, i would never consider them coward, either way. food for thought, its a sad sad situation. |

Re: Cop Diagnosed with Cancer
Seen my dad die of cancer. The physical suffering is beyond imagination. Pity our society condemns assisted suicide in such cases. Life is about enjoyment, and making friends, etc. I can't see someone enduring constant pain, 24-7, begging to be taken out of this world, while others stand to the side, in perfect health, saying, "Well, it's God's will that you fight till the end." I remember the movie, years ago, with Jane Fonda, They Shoot Horses, Don't They. |
