Saw a lot of dodgy construction techniques when I was in Cairo. Wooden lopsided scaffolding (ancient scaffolding was wooden but just looks insecure), bare feet and regular clothing. Made me shudder  |

I'm certain that if he was wearing his flip flops he would have had a better grip of the terrain and would have been able to move out of the way quicker.  |
