Often they are so delusional that they do not feel it or they feel that God is telling is telling them they MUST do this for the greater good of mankind/ to prevent some awful happening ("Knock At The Cabin"), or they are just so out of their mind they compulsively do this. Had a client several years back who took a butcher knife and cut off his penis and testicles/ scrotum. When the counselors went over (his Mother called them) to see him and asked him Why, he responded with "Oh don't worry. They will grow back". He had JUST come home two days before from a inpatient psychiatric hospital stay.    |

This loooks more like a homicide.. it’s hard to believe a person did this to themselves tbh it doesn’t make sense
