Always amuses me when discussions about how Islam isn't bad take place in threads where a muslim just beheaded someone. It's like when leftists lecture you on the dangers of fascism in a thread where they're actively celebrating the assasination of a political opponent.

It is wrong to characterize all Muslims as having the same religious views, just as it is wrong to characterize all Christians as having the same religious views. Both have branches with different viewpoints. Both have different types of religious leaders who teach their followers different things. You're talking to a person with a Master's in history with a particular focus and interest in Medieval Europe. The Crusades were not all "retaliatory." The bloody history of the Roman Catholic Church is too well documented to dispute. Early Protestants were also quite violent. And that's interesting considering religion - especially American Protestantism - is at the heart of bombing abortion clinics.

A total of 45% of abortions occur at or before week six when the fetus is smaller than the size of a pea.

A total of 81% of abortions occur by week nine when it's the size of a cherry and doesn't even have developed muscles.

A total of 93% occur by week twelve (which is the end of the first trimester) before its bladder and liver are functioning independently and it is only the size of a lemon including the placenta.

There is no objective doctor or scientist who would call any of those fetuses a "baby".

Later term abortions, particularly late in the second trimester or even the third are done almost exclusively due to severe health issues either with the fetus or the mother. The further along a pregnancy is the more traumatic it is for the parents because nobody waits until the third trimester to have an elective abortion - they're done at that time only under tragic circumstances. The only people who consider a fetus a baby are people who are affected by subjective feelings and religious ideology rather than the facts of science.

I would like to add, if God was omnipotent as they say, then he would know that an abortion was going to happen and he could just make those souls respawn in another womb.
