The killer is a 39 years old Laotian man who confessed to killing his lover for cheating on him.

The killer, a former boyfriend (39) from Laos was arrested in his apartment. Police said after questioning him that he admitted knowing the woman for a year. She had been missing since last Thursday from the karaoke shop where she worked.

Her boyfriend (A Thai computer technician, 30.) reported her disappearance to police after hearing news reports of the body parts.



Police said the killer confessed that the murdered woman had called him about 6am last Thursday, asking if she could rest at his apartment.

When she arrived, he said he asked her to marry him but she refused, sparking an argument.

He allegedly told police he strangled the woman to death with his bare hands.

As a butcher once employed in a pork abattoir (slaughterhouse) in Laos, he then cut up her body, put the parts in a fertiliser sack, and dumped it in the canal near his home.
