Maybe a little macabre but also pretty cool! Definitely demystifies death in a way, and the young girl seems to be really engaged and interested. I was super into mummies as a kid, it was a cool way to look at long dead remains. And hey, what they're doing in these pics/vids is way tamer than what the rest of us are doing here. Love it for em. |

It is cultural thing, to visit these places, and the bodies are moved around a bit. After a number of years, there are just bones lefts, so the remains are moved to a smaller place to make way for new ones. After the bones have become dust, they are disposed off, and only a memorial plate remains of their memory, in the gardens. The girl looks has not reached these stages. Perhaps a lack of finances are involved? Its a cultural thing, and yes, exposing one's children to the pains and shocks of life, and worse, in preparation for the horrors of life, in adulthood, whilst they have the support of their parents to guide them. And sadly, money (food) is a sought after commodity, and mothers cut back on what saves the most, and sells out what pays the most. Sometimes their own bodies and own children or organs. The Philippines is one off daily survival for most who live there. |

I mean, I know they do that in other cultures and it's normal to them, but fucking hell is that beyond me. I don't even like seeing the people I care about at their funerals. I don't to see them laying there with no life in them let alone 7 years after they were laid to rest.
