This part of Coahuila abuts the Chihuahuan Desert. It is also responsible for 95% of Mexico's coal reserves. So yeah, pretty dry, dusty, and filthy overall in terms of air quality. I mean, I doubt she was on the cover of Good Housekeeping either, of course. But I reckon it's a losing battle for the lower middle class to keep a tidy house nestled between a desert and a dozen coal mines. |
