Re: Two Teenagers Dead in Motorcycle Accident
Eh? They were drunk as lords, stacked three on a bike, wearing no helmets, and recklessly trying to overtake in poor visibility. Sorry, but I am fresh the fuck out of sympathy for drunk drivers, whatever their age. |

Re: Two Teenagers Dead in Motorcycle Accident
Yes they shouldn't have put themselves in that situation. They lost their lives due to a stupid decision + thankfully didn't harm anyone else. But a little while ago, you stated, in a thread about a 12 year old girl who killed her own mother, that under no circumstances a 12 year old should be executed. I just want to understand why you, personally, think that a 12 year old who murdered her own mother doesn't deserve to die but the 14 year old girl in this thread deserved what she got because she got on a motorbike without a helmet. Thread in question: https://www.documentingreality.com/f...s-body-187820/

Re: Two Teenagers Dead in Motorcycle Accident
In my world there is a pretty serious distinction to be drawn between: 1. Demanding that a minor be murdered by the State for crimes they committed and 2. Not feeling sorrow and sympathy for a minor who willingly put themselves in a situation harmful to them and to the general public. It's apples and oranges. A more realistic comparison would be if the kids had run over an old man while drunk on their motorcycle and I had stated that they should be executed for it. Which is somewhat ludicrous. Sorry if you don't see the distinction, but it's a pretty clear one to me. |
