Re: Car Crash Birmingham, UK, 17/12/2017
Two way underpass in Birmingham city center, no center divider just white lines, Four lads in an Audi s3 racing, this stretch of road is well known for street racing in the earl hours, (one of those in the Audi was involved in a police chase not so long back, 120mph throwing drugs out the window, unconfirmed but I am told it was reported in the media) Audi lost control, hits the left wall of the underpass (uk remember) bounces off and crosses the centerline, hits the black cab and goes airbourne, comes down on a third vehicle. 11 injured, 6 dead, one from the Audi critical in hospital. Taxi driver one week from retiring, leaves 6 children and families. Couple in the taxi, simply doing the right thing and going home. No info on the 3rd vehicle, obiously one of the 11 but not of the 6. Friend of mine, (private hire cabby) past here just after the event told me it looked more like a plane crash than a car wreck. Biggest piece of Audi was the engine block. Seat belts..... london style black cabs have them in the back also have signs, but very few passengers put them on, cab drivers are excempt from wearing them as they restrict movement should someone get in the back intending harm on the driver, something that is much more probable in a city center than being hit by a 100mph plus Audi. Rip all those in the wrong place at the wrong time, thoughts with all those left behind the week before Christmas. |

Re: Car Crash Birmingham, UK, 17/12/2017
Taxi driver was only 32, so wasnt a week away from retiring. He was hoping to quit job as taxi driver next year to work in customs. The reports of a previous 120 mph chase and drugs (Heroin) being thrown from window are confirmed, as he was was convicted and sentenced to 3 years last year. He got out early. Karma Also there are more than white lines separating that road. A small curb and couple of feet of pavement...not that it improves upon the point much. One of the relatives of the Audi occupents has put a video on facebook asking for "dickheads" to stop sharing the video out of respect for the dead brothers....the brothers in the Audi and the brother taxi driver..........but seemingly he doesnt give a shit about the 2 white people in the taxi. |

Asians shouldn't be allowed to hold driving licence's. I know, sounds incredibly racist and what not, but I've been driving a long time and I've driven past many incidents, and you'd be fucking struck dumb how many have involved Indians or Pakistanis. I have Indian and Pakistani friends, and none of them are safe drivers; they've all had smashes in the past year and their licences are heavily endorsed. There's something in their genes that doesn't allow them to be in total control of anything with an engine. I shit you not. I'd love to see the stats. I'm 100% sure they'd be disproportionate compared to how many are living here in the UK, compared to other races. |
