This is a tricky one.On one hand,the guy DID volunteer himself,so you could argue it's assisted suicide. OTOH,the prosecution argued the 'volunteer' was mentally ill and was not in a position to consent. Therefore Armin seeking out a psychologically damaged person to kill smacks of premeditation.I'm guessing the light sentence was a concession to both sides.Armin took advantage of a mentally ill man,but as he is clearly nuts himself,the extenuating circumstances of his own madness got him a reduced sentence. That's how I interpret it,anyway.
Ironically Armin turned vegetarian inside as he hates prison food.
