I had actually seen this elsewhere on the web when someone sent it to me. Apparently when they investigated the accident the driver of the car had just sent a text a second or two prior to impact so they feel he was distracted and drifted into the oncoming semi.

Um, does anyone here REALLY think an SUV, in a head-on with a F big truck, would have made the difference? I've driven smartcars and even considered buying one (before they made it un-smart). In THIS particular accident, a Suburban may only have spared her being sliced in half. she'd most likely been killed, in that case too.

my pal drives a smart car and from whats left of it , it dosnt look like a smart car ?? eitherway i think any car vs a lorry is going to end up messing up your windscreen

Yeah, who cares about saving the environment when you can get cut in half on the road. Just not worth it. I will drive my gas-guzzling Grand Prix til it dies. At least that hunk of metal will protect me  |

thats brutal. then again that could happen pretty much with anything smaller than a suv, under certain circumstances. nice pics tho...especially the first one...spine...ouch...
