It was fairly well-staged. Most of the minor 'oddities' with the scene could have been plausible in an actual hanging. But looking at the photos again with a fresher perspective after reading the news, I can certainly see how altogether they're a bit fishy.

Former governor maintains his innocence in her death and responds to allegations by publicly releasing this series of photos on social media. They show the decedent in the hospital a year ago after a previous suicide attempt by ingesting pills. He insists that she had tried to kill herself many times before, was batshit crazy with grief over his dumping her, and was chronically depressed. And perhaps she was. Doesn't mean he (or his wife and brother) didn't bump her off and stage the scene. Then again, doesn't mean she didn't kill herself either. The accused believes that much of this entire event could have been staged by political opposition to discredit him and land him in jail. Seems pretty fucking hardball to me, but I guess they play pretty rough in Cambodian politics. More to come when they finish interrogating all of the witnesses and supposed accomplices. This case has a lot of facets and I am way out of my depth trying to translate from Khmer, where one single 'stroke' of a character can erroneously alter the meaning of the entire sentence. So I'll do what I can to report salient details, but it's slow and tough fucking going.   ·  ·  ·  · |

Yeah, I just wonder that her pants were wet a lot on the behind, it looks like she was asphyxia in sitting or lying postion but not a stand hanging postion :)

Yes, probably an accurate observation at this point. It would have been hard for her ass to be that wet up to her waistline if she was vertical when hanging, so being pushed down on the bed and suffocated makes more sense with that detail.
