Thanks to you all for your comments and thanks. It's easy to forget how painful it is being burnt, even just a small burn and how unpleasant the recovery if you survive major burn trauma. From the videos I've seen it's amazing how some people burn to death without hardly a scream and others writhe and yelp in anguish. Guess pain is very much an attitude of mind. I find burning fascinating - must have stared into the log fire too much as a kid...
