Really bright blood is usually capillary bleeding. Bright red blood is indicative of arterial (oxygenated). Dark red is venous (de-oxygenated). You can see the blood clots forming (coagulation) on the ground. He had good platelets at least. You can also see the the separation of whole blood and plasma start to take effect. Plasma appears clear like vegetable oil after time. I was a Navy Corpsman (Marine Corps combat medic) by trade. |
