Sorry for not posting as much as usual - combination of new job and just not feeling totally up to scratch. I hope to start posting more in the near future, but for now here's a brief compilation.

In the El Agustino district of Lima, Peru, the dismembered remains of a woman were found in a sewage treatment plant, caught in the grates of the plant's water intake filters. Tattoos were found on her torso, and a thigh was found a few days later. Her identity remains unknown.


In Barreiras, Bahia, Brazil, a young woman, identified only as Amanda, was shot dead by a motorcycle-riding hitman whilst in her car.






In a rural area of Trairi, Ceará, Brazil, 18-year-old Lorena F. was murdered and decapitated. Her head was found around 200 metres away from the body, in a shallow grave.

A 62-year-old man, who used to regularly visit Lorena's residence, has been arrested. The man apparently had romantic feelings for Lorena, but was rebuffed by her. The man's bicycle was found near Lorena's body.

The man was attacked by locals, and was taken to a hospital, after which he will face charges.

In Manaus, Amazonas, Brazil, 23-year-old Manuella S.B.Q. and her 27-year-old boyfriend, Vitor H.d.O.F., were murdered by Manuella's 52-year-old ex-husband, Antônio M.S.d.C., who has not yet been apprehended.
