This unfortunate man lived in India and he was working with the local department of transportation doing roadwork construction. The merging lane was too close to the workers doing their jobs. Apparently the local workers had been petitioning the governemnt to close the merge lane for one day during construction but the local civil government intervened because that particular day was the busiest day of the year for the national poultry association because it was the first day of the chicken harvest India is known for.
A truck bringing supplies, against his supervisor's stern warnings, drove faster than acceptable and the payload partially tipped over the side of the truck. This unfortunate man was underneath the chunks of concrete. He left behind 7 children, 4 boys and 3 girls.
