I have seen pics of bee sting deaths before but this case is by far the most brutal. There has to be well over 1000 venom sacs and that doesn't even include the number of stings without venom sacs left behind. I am surprised she lasted long enough for the paramedics to arrive. |

From my understanding anaphylactic shock occurs in those who have severe allergic reactions. A few years ago I was removing honeysuckle vines from my mother's backyard fence. Then, I felt this sharp, burning, stabbing pain along my right ankle. I look down and see probably a couple of dozen ground hornets buzzing around my leg. Took off running and they kept following me for a couple hundred yards and stung me maybe 10 more times on my back. When I got far enough away, I could still feel stinging around my ankles. There were about 6 of them with their jaws digging into my skin. Finally smashed those bastards and was safe but damn that shit scared the hell out of me. The next day I came back with 2 cans of spray, some gas, a lighter, and a shovel. Sprayed the nest down, dug it up, then lit the goddamn thing on fire. I was mad as hell after that bullshit. |
