A few years ago a big swarm of them flew through the middle of Corpus Christi, TX. I was walking and got caught in it. It's scary and awesome at the same time. I didn't get bit once, in fact they didn't touch me:

I wish I'd taken pictures but I just froze in place until they passed by; and then when they're gone 20 seconds later you really can't see them clearly.
