Brazil - Teenager Shot by Older Ex-boyfriend Who then Hanged Himself
On the morning of 16th October 2020 in Belo Jardim (Brazil), the bodies of 2 young people were found. 23 year old J.M.d.S. + 17 year old M.E.d.S.B. had broken up 3 months ago. The couple had been together for 3 + a half years, but 'J' constantly beat 'M' + she couldn't take any more, so ended the relationship. 'J', however, would not accept the break up. The day before the crime, 'J' had rode on his motorbike to visit 'M' in the afternoon. He said that he wanted to be friends + asked if she would go with him to Sítio Ribeira to participate in a 'hunt'. He said he would give her some money + his motorbike if she agreed. After a little consideration, 'M' went with him. Once there, 'J' shot 'M' dead in a thicket. Then with some cord, he hanged himself from a tree. Before the murder-suicide, 'J' uploaded several videos. He discussed the crime that he was about to commit + said goodbye to his father. His family found 'J's mobile phone + upon seeing the videos, they called the police, who soon found the bodies.

It always amazes me how people take out others before taking themselves out, why not just do it on yourself and end your miserable life without the expense of others

She had the good sense to leave him after apparently being abused for years, but thought it was a good idea to go on a "hunt" with the guy? I wonder why the douche chose to hang himself, rather than just shoot himself, and why bother shaving off the beard? He trying to look good for his funeral? Leave him up there and let him rot. |

obviously you mustn't have been exposed to domestic violence the verbal and physical abuse doesn't just magically stop if she tells him she doesn't want to go on a hunt with him. there is a good chance it would have gotten worse if she declined his invitation. the odds are that she most probably felt safer agreeing to go on the hunt than declining, which might go some way to show what a shitty situation she was most probably in |

Re: Brazil - Teenager Shot by Older Ex-boyfriend Who then Hanged Himself
True, I'd assume that if you've suffered from domestic violence, the fear never leaves you + it's best just to go along with whatever the abuser says. It's just sad that there doesn't seem to have been anyone there for her, to protect her. She was just a kid, 17 years old + had been with that piece of shit for over 3 years. I can't imagine any decent parent allowing such a relationship, especially an abusive one. The only good thing is that the poor girl doesn't have to suffer at the hands of that cunt any more. Though it's wishful thinking that he had just killed himself + left the girl alone.

Re: Brazil - Teenager Shot by Older Ex-boyfriend Who then Hanged Himself
not just the fear of being hit at the time - but also the knowledge that where ever you go to try and escape them, they will track you down . . . or at the very least, they plant the belief that they will track you down into your mind if you have ever seen the movie "sleeping with the enemy" with julia roberts, that gives a very true perspective of domestic violence. a throw away line by a stranger such as "you have a nice house", sends the abuser straight home to beat the shit out of his wife, because she "must" have invited the stranger in and entertained him most kids do not listen to their parents, but the abuse rarely starts right away. trust is built first, so that everyone thinks he is a nice guy. the controlling of who she sees and what she does starts long before the physical abuse, so that when the physical abuse begins, she has nowhere to turn . . . once the abuse starts, it is very difficult to get away. and after he has got away with it just once, it becomes virtually impossible for her to leave |
