Brazil - Ship Carrying More Than 40 People Sinks
*I started searching 6 days on this, then forgot about it until last night. I searched a bit last night + for several hours this morning. There is SO much to search through - not only what's in the news but the immense amount of posts on the FB profiles of the relatives of the victims. I just can't do it all, it's too much of a workload for me - so I'm posting what I've gathered for now + will add to + update whenever. If anyone has any updates on the missing or additional photos/videos/info, please post them in this thread. At 6pm on 28th February 2020 in Pará (Brazil), the ship "Anna Karoline III" left the port from Santana. At 4am the next morning, the ship sank due the excess cargo it was carrying. Survivors state that it was raining heavily + there was water on the deck before the ship left the port of Santana. Around 40 people were on the ship at the time for the 36 hour trip, leaving many dead + many still missing. Included on the ship were a family of 20, who were off to celebrate a birthday. The last moments on the ship as it sank were described as "chaos, screams + terror". Divers set to work to recover bodies from inside the ship + also in the water itself. The ship had capacity for 242 passengers plus cargo. A list of those aboard the ship were shown to family members of the passengers. 45 names had been noted on the list.

I agree, it's really sad. + thank you, Mister! There's still tons more on this out there, but I'm hoping someone else will gather some bits together - I've spent way too many hours on this, haha! I still have a few more names to sort through, but I can't be bothered at the moment!
