On the night of 7th April 2021 in the Monte Cristo neighbourhood (Brazil), 28 year old O.R.d.S. was murdered.

'O', a butcher, had been in a relationship with 27 year old D.R.S.d.J. for a few years. They had recently broken up, but 'D' would not accept the end of their relationship.

On the night of the 7th, Diana found out that 'O' was in the company of a woman inside his home. Enraged with jealousy, 'D' made her way over to his house. Once inside, 'D' began arguing with 'O'. She grabbed a knife + lunged at him. He died from a stab wound to his neck.

'O' was buried on the 9th.

'D' had been arrested at the scene. When questioned, this is what she had to say:


How did you get access to the house?

“I went there, and the neighbour upstairs thought I was still dating him, then she opened the door for me, I went in because I already knew he was with someone else there, and I wanted to see who he was, but he locked her up in the bedroom, and then we started fighting - going out, I took the knife I saw up there, only when he saw me with the knife in his hand, he came up trying to take the knife, just that when he touched, he cut his neck, I didn’t see it at the time, then the neighbour also joined the fight trying to separate ”.


Were you still dating him?

“We had already finished two weeks ago, but we still saw each other. And then I took it and went there because I was suspicious that he was cheating on me with this girl, and when I got there it was really her, and then he ended up trying to get me out of the house to do nothing with her, then I was with the knife in his hand when he came it punctured him, but I didn't even see the time ”.


Are you sorry?

"I'm very sorry, very, very sorry, I never had that intention, never, I wasn't going to bore him, he was just threatening, I wasn't going to do that".


And when did you know that he died?

"It was at the same place, it took about 40 minutes, because SAMU took a long time to arrive, I was disoriented without knowing the time, when I found out that he was dead, I was already inside the vehicle."


What is your current professional activity?

"I don't work, I'm unemployed."


How long did you date with him?

"I dated him for 3 years and 6 months."


What was the reason for the separation?

“We were fighting a lot, and then we decided to separate, but we still saw each other, (...) then I was jealous, of course, because I learned that he arrived with her at the house, I ended up doing this madness, but I didn't mean to go there and punch him, or kill him, or do something like that ”.
