Cambodia - Man Stabbed Girlfriend to Death + Left Her Rotting for a Week
On the evening of 26th April 2021 in Siem Reap (Cambodia), 56 year old C.G. was murdered.  'C', though Cambodian, lived in Switzerland. She had come to Cambodia for a visit + had been renting a house since 1st February.  'C' had been arguing with her new boyfriend, 34 year old M.V. The row had come about as they had been drinking + issues with each other's families. According to 'M', 'C' would not allow him to contact his relatives. Also, 'C's family had warned her not to marry 'M' because of their age difference.  'M' grew so enraged during the argument, that he stabbed 'C' to death. After he had stabbed her in the eye, shoulder + abdomen, he fled on his motorbike. On the afternoon of 5th May, neighbours reported a terrible stench coming from the house. Upon inspection, 'C's decomposing body was found + the police were called.    'M' was arrested on the 6th + charged with murder 2 days later. If found guilty, he will serve 10-15 years.
