Re: Brazil - 18 Year Old Girl Shot Dead by Policeman
The General Command of the Military Police reported, by way of note, that the fact involving a Military Police Sergeant (PM) during the service in police barrier in Rio Preto da Eva will be verified by the Directorate of Justice and Discipline (DJD), which instituted administrative proceedings against the military, further clarifying that it will also respond to the Military Police Inquiry (IPM) with the immediate removal of its duties until the conclusion of the appropriate judicial proceedings. A traffic coordinator already asked in 2017 to remove the MP from traffic stops due to inappropiate behaviour. The bike rider didn't even notice she was shot from the bike and they claim the cop didn't wear any reflective vest or any other means indicating it was a traffic stop. The bullet went through her neck and exit her mouth. A military friend of the biker notifying him what happened advised him shortly after not to return afraid of the cop shooting him as well or planting false evidence to cover his action.
