The dead don't deserve respect just for being dead.. what the dead deserve is honesty.

Will the dead notice the difference? no. respect the dead is not for the dead but for those who have been left behind. what would your family think if we went to your funeral and laughed at you and made fun at you? clearly shows you dont know the meaning of respect. or did you grow up being beaten with sticks and being dumped in a tub of water?

and the family being happy in the funeral maybe because it was the last wish of the deceased. that no one in her funeral should be sad and just be glad her suffering in this world is over. I told my family the same if i suddenly die.

usually happens when they keep the funeral wake longer and have to re-embalm (is that the right word when you add formaldehyde) that they usually asks to have the deceased changed attires.
