That actually looks like a very nice Mexican service. It's not really odd but different on how Mexicans will take plenty of pictures at funerals as compared to Americans. I will never forget a Mexican service I worked a couple of years ago.... me and my boss rolled in with the hearse and a crowd of people were standing out in the road and started taking pictures of us before we even got out of the vehicle. That was my first true taste of stardom

I don't find it disrespectful as those pics will help keep that memory alive and accurate for many many years. It is odd in a sense that it is NOT part of the average American funeral experience.
