A man hangs in the jaws of a zoo bear in a terrifying confrontation that left them BOTH fighting for life. A shocked onlooker took the amazing snap after the 25-year-old scaled a wall and dropped 20ft into the beast's pen. Four-year-old European brown bear Finn inflicted severe head and leg wounds as he carried him from one side to the other. Last night the unnamed man was out of danger after the drama at Bern Park in Switzerland. Finn was critically ill after being shot by police, allowing rescue teams to save the mentally ill intruder. Vets say they are unable to operate because the bullet splintered badly. Earlier this year a 32-year-old woman survived a mauling after jumping into a pool at Berlin Zoo in Germany to swim with polar bears.  ·  ·  · |

Bah...it's the mentally retarded dude's fault...the bear got shot in the process -_-....and noone tried to stop him from climbing the fence?? or they wanted to hav some fun and see what was gonna happen  |

I don't understand why they had to resort to shooting the bear, what with it taking place at a zoo and all.. You'd think the zoo staff would have tranquilizer guns or something on hand in case of an emergency.  |

sorry to say the bear was more useful then the retard sad they had to shoot the bear to save him and yeah i would have thought a zoo would have tranq guns |
