Bank Robbers Dead in Police Shoot-out
At around 3am on 4th April 2019 in Guararema (São Paulo, Brazil), an attempted robbery of 2 banks resulted in the deaths of 11 felons.  Around 25 men, who were armed with explosives, machine guns, revolvers (some articles say rifles + pistols) + bullet-proof vests, attacked a branch of Santander + a branch of Banco do Brasil. Soon after, the police were in pursuit of them + ended up exchanging gunshots.                          Some of the robbers held a family hostage in their home but police managed to release them unharmed. Criminals in one vehicle managed to escape + are being sought by the police.
